My first steps in the USA

Watch the video on YouTube

So I arrived at 23, I arrived in the United States.
The only thirst I had was entrepreneurial. I simply had no idea where I was going.
Backpacking-style, of course. Without speaking a single word of English. So of course at school, I didn’t have vocabulary, but I knew some grammar, that’s what helped me a little.
And I started with what I knew how to do, that is interior design.
Little things I knew. In this case, a Patina. Here’s a Patina, that’s what got me started.
A Patina that I made for a homeowner who loved it. She told her friends about it and one thing led to another, BAM I became the French Designer that I hadn’t planned on being at all.
She proclaimed myself French Designer.
My business finders were American real estate agents for the most part.
At the time, we didn’t have cellulars, so the agents continually gravitated around their offices to retrieve their messages and keep on working.
So much so that I accompanied them and when the phone rang, so as not to miss the call they asked me to pick upthe phone.
I had the client, I had to deal with him.
I started talking a little and I realized that what I was saying wasn’t really nonsense.
So the trigger, if we can call so a trigger, was saying to myself Ah, there you go from Interior Designer whose role I had been improvised, well, it was more like starting with something, that seemed interesting to me.
So I had got my license. I became a Real Estate Agent so I worked for a Broker.
Later I got my Broker’s License to cap my expertise.
And this is what happened.
At first it wasn’t planned at all, I became a Real Estate Agent.
Better, in Miami…
Who would have known…
Who would have believed it !
