Florida — and Miami in particular — is now attracting a large portion of Silicon Valley’s giants. Long hampered by California’s high taxes, these companies have finally looked elsewhere, and Miami has emerged as the obvious choice.
For years, California simply enjoyed its dominant position without offering anything in return, allowing its attractiveness to erode. Conversely, Miami has capitalized on its dynamism : all the major American banks are already established in Brickell, the city’s financial heart.
Miami is also establishing itself as a strategic port, a true gateway for freight to South America and Europe.
Today, the city has a clear ambition : to become the subtropical New York of the United States, a major economic center where innovation, finance, and international trade converge.
